Meet The Moment

Federal leaders are siding with corporate polluters and families are paying the price. Energy costs are rising, jobs are on the line, and billions in investment are being stalled or shipped overseas.

Why States Must Lead Now

Clean energy is the solution. It is cheaper and faster to deploy than fossil fuels, and it already powers millions of good-paying jobs across the country. But instead of accelerating progress, federal leaders are blocking affordable energy and protecting corporate polluters. The result is higher costs.

The consequences are severe. Protecting polluters instead of clean energy is projected to cost the U.S. economy nearly $1 trillion over the next decade.

States do not have to accept this failure. They can lead, and that leadership matters now.

Meet the Moment is a national campaign calling on governors and state leaders to step up where Washington has failed. The goal is simple: lower energy bills, create good-paying jobs, and drive economic growth by investing in cleaner, cheaper, faster energy.

Meet the Moment is now active in three key states, with more to come.

Take Action

If you live in one of our "Meet the Moment" states, you can learn more and take action here!

Michigan

With more than 127,000 clean energy jobs, including 66,000 in manufacturing, Michigan can lower bills and deploy the cheapest new energy on the grid while ensuring the next generation of American energy jobs are built at home rather than outsourced to China.

New Jersey

As families face some of the highest energy bills in the country, clean energy offers a clear path to lower costs, especially after the Trump administration is empowering corporate polluters to keep cheaper power off the grid.

Virginia

Clean energy already supports over 102,000 jobs, including nearly 52,000 in construction. Trump administration rollbacks threaten billions in investment and tens of thousands of jobs, making clean energy the fastest way to protect workers and lower costs.
