Support Building Clean Energy
Achieving 100% clean energy is going to require building and siting clean energy projects across the country.
-
Why It Matters
Across the country, there is an astroturf movement from the fossil fuel industry to oppose building clean energy projects in local communities. The goal is to delay or block clean energy deployment and keep dirty energy online longer. Every time they successfully block a project, we take a step back in the climate fight.
-
What’s the Solution?
We need states to set rules that provide both environmental protection and a clear process for building clean energy in communities. We also need people who support climate action to make their voices heard when projects are proposed in their communities.

What Can I Do?
Counterspark is asking state legislators and governors across the country to establish clear siting guidelines for local governments to enact and calling for states to provide an incentive for the construction of new projects in local communities.
