• Why It Matters

  Gov. Hochul has included the Affordable Gas Transition Act in her budget proposal. This Act would ensure a smoother, lower-cost, and faster transition to clean homes and businesses. It does so by ending subsidies you pay through your utility bill to expand dirty fossil gas lines, and helping families and businesses access high-efficiency, clean, electric technologies.

• What’s the Solution?

  The legislature is currently a few votes short from being able to move this act through budget negotiations. But moving a few key legislators can make all the difference.
