Clean Trucks = Clean Air
Transportation is the largest source of carbon emissions in the country and 30% of those emissions come from big trucks – like semis and delivery trucks.
-
Why It Matters
Most buses and heavy duty trucks rely on diesel engines, which emit a number of harmful pollutants which worsen air quality and lead to chronic disease and even premature deaths.
-
What’s the Solution?
The good news is that American car manufacturers are making clean, all electric trucks that could rapidly replace old fossil fuel models. Trucks like the Rivian Delivery Van, Ford E-Commerce, and the International eMV run on electricity. By adopting the Advanced Clean Trucks rule, states across the country can replace dirty diesel engines with clean transportation and reduce climate pollution.
