Solar energy is becoming more popular and more affordable all across Nevada. Yet currently, those living in affordable housing units are unable to reap its financial benefits. Low-income Nevadans deserve the same lower utility bills that families that have switched to solar are already receiving.
The Low-Income Solar Act would provide Nevadans living in affordable housing with access to and benefits from solar energy.
As of May 2023, the Low-Income Solar Act is awaiting passage out of the Assembly Committee on Ways and Means.
That’s where you come in: Send a note directly to your Assemblymember and Senator and urge them to move on the Low-Income Solar Act so this bill remains a top priority and passes both chambers.
