Thank your elected officials for increasing transparency in Maryland!

Utilities are required to disclose their votes at PJM

  • Why It Matters

PJM is the name of the company that oversees the electric grid in all of Maryland, parts or all of 12 other states, and DC. As part of their business, they have various committees, task forces, and user groups where utilities vote on decisions.

Since PJM’s business ultimately serves the public, you deserve transparency on how they make decisions, but you didn’t have that transparency before.

  • What’s the Solution?

A recently passed bill in the state legislature requires utilities to disclose their votes at PJM. This way, lawmakers and the public can have a better look at how their decisions get made behind closed doors.

  • What Can I Do?
