• Why It Matters

  The Virginia Clean Economy Act – or VCEA – is the law that put Virginia on the path to 100% clean energy. This law is saving Virginians money and creating jobs, but Gov. Youngkin and his allies in the Assembly have begun attacking the law.

  Dominion’s plan – in alignment with the VCEA – will deliver $118.5 billion in fuel savings to customers over the lifespan of the investment, and in the years following passage of the law, clean energy job growth in Virginia was 3.5 times higher than growth for any other jobs, and it attracts business, with clean energy accounting for more than 97,000 jobs in the Commonwealth.

  Unfortunately, Gov. Youngkin and his allies in the state legislature are now attacking the VCEA, aligning their policies with Trump-style energy plans rather than the ones that are working for Virginia.

• What’s the Solution?

  Virginia should be supporting more clean energy, not an overhaul or repeal of the VCEA. We need to stand up to these attacks before they gain any momentum or misinformation spreads further!
