The Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) can no longer move the state backward!

The ACC is a little-known elected body and needs to be held accountable.

  • Why It Matters

The Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) is the public utility commission of Arizona and has been making extremist decisions that are destroying Arizona jobs, costing money, and going backward on clean energy.

In February, they voted to begin the process of repealing the renewable energy standard (REST rule). This rule has resulted in about $2 billion in public benefits since 2006. They also voted to begin to repeal the Energy Efficiency standard – which has offered about $4 in benefits for every $1 invested.

The commission is not doing their job to keep rates affordable for Arizonans. Take, for instance, a recent decision that would raise fees on solar customers. This decision was so egregious that the state Attorney General had to intervene because it is unconstitutional to discriminate against a class of ratepayers without providing evidence.

The commission is running rampant with extremism and they need to be held accountable.

  • What’s the Solution?

The commission is elected, so the longer-term solution is to vote for clean energy in this year’s elections. In the short term, they need to know that Arizonans disapprove of their actions.

  • What Can I Do?

Email the commission today to let them know that you don’t agree with their extreme decisions!
