Clean, Affordable Vehicles for Coloradans

New legislation in Colorado will make electric vehicles of all sizes more affordable

• Why It Matters

  Electric vehicles are a critical part of our transition to a clean energy future. Fossil fuel-powered engines on our roads now emit dangerous pollutants that worsen air quality and can cause disease and even early death.
  
  Cost should not be a barrier to accessing clean vehicles – whether you’re a family looking for the right car or a business investing in a fleet of shipping trucks.

• What’s the Solution?

  House Bill 23-1272, a bill currently making its way through the Colorado legislature, would provide new tax credits that will lower the cost of clean vehicles including electric cars, trucks, buses, and vans. In addition to advancing clean air priorities, these tax credits will result in fuel savings for businesses and families alike over their vehicles’ lifetimes.
