  Beginning next year, ComEd’s customers will see price spikes similar to those seen by Ameren’s customers two years ago—the issue boils down to this: Illinois is not building energy resources fast enough to keep up with projected demand.
  
  
  Luckily, there is a solution: a bill that would build more battery energy storage is being considered by lawmakers. The bill will keep energy costs low, upgrade our grid, create jobs, and attract businesses to Illinois.
  
  
  The icing on the cake: we can store energy when prices are low, and use that energy when prices are high—saving customers billions in energy costs.
