Lower electric bills with homegrown energy
Incentivizing home clean energy can help >>
-
Why It Matters
Electric bills in California are too high! Utilities are overspending on grid infrastructure, driving rates way up!
Distributed energy resources (DERs) are small-scale systems that generate or store clean energy – resources like electric vehicles, electric heat pumps, and solar panels. More people using these resources can lower utility rates and increase utility reliability – decreasing blackouts and brownouts.
With Trump attacking clean energy at the federal level, California needs innovative solutions to keep moving forward in our fight for affordable clean energy.

What’s the Solution?
New legislation – AB 740, AB 44, and SB 541, will:
– Drive utilities to make the most of flexible, local clean energy
– Incentivize home energy upgrades that help cut bills and prevent blackouts
– Foster an environment of innovation in energy management, lowering energy costs
