Global leadership and jobs are at risk if energy tax credits are recklessly terminated!

Clean energy can be built quickly and boosts the economy. Let’s not pull the rug out from under that!

• Why It Matters

  The Inflation Reduction Act created lots of tax incentives to build clean energy – both for companies and small businesses that invested in building energy and for people who wanted to invest by adding solar panels to their home, buying a heat pump, or buying an electric car to name just a few.

  The incentives have meant billions in investment, hundreds of thousands of good-paying jobs created, and security through energy dominance that will power AI and other new energy needs. Many of the projects and facilities spurred by the IRA are just getting started.

  President Trump’s huge bill winding through Congress would phase out those incentives over time. But for an extreme set of lawmakers, that’s not enough – they want to pull the rug out from under business immediately, halting clean projects in development and abruptly attacking your energy freedom. These reckless, ideological proposals would mean huge job losses, companies that will almost certainly go out of business, less clean energy, and a higher price for people who want to invest in clean energy at home. These are huge losses that America can’t afford!

• What’s the Solution?

  Congress can preserve these incentives and manage them responsibly, but it means standing up to extreme ideologues in their ranks.
